3-Day Blitz Against Draft State Plan and NJ Foreclosure Act

Grassroots groups across New Jersey are calling and emailing Governor Christie during the 3 DAY BLITZ, April 18, 19, 20 - this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - CALL CALL CALL!!!

IT'S WORKING! AS OF TODAY THE DRAFT PLAN REDLINE IS ***STILL*** NOT APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE -- THERE IS STILL TIME TO AFFECT THEM.
From two patriots who are responding to our "3-DAY BLITZ" request, results from their calls TODAY:
Called the Office of Planning Advocacy.  The redlines has not been "signed-off".  They don't know when it will be issued.  The 25th for the vote is still on the schedule.

My wife called the Governor's office.

    1. They put a representative on the phone who supposedly knew about the Plan and spoke with her for several minutes.
    2.  They had a list that showed she had written a letter.
    3.  They asked specifically if she was "opposed' to the Plan and they marked it down.
    4.  She could hear all her comments being typed as she spoke.
    5.  She elaborated on the poor public hearing at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and the need for more hearings.
    6.  They didn't know when the redline would be out.
    7.  They referred to the Plan as a "proposal".

Suggest- push more phone calls.  Keep talking.

Suggested wording for NJ State Development and Redevelopment Plan:
Governor Christie, The NJ State Development and Redevelopment Plan accelerates the transfer of taxpayer dollars from suburban and rural taxpayers to urban areas, does not explicitly protect citizens' property rights, encroaches on local autonomy and targets economic growth/jobs to urban areas. Only 6 public hearings were held for 21 NJ counties. I request that more public hearings are held, at least 3 per county, so citizens can learn about and comment on a Plan that significantly impacts them. Thank you.

Suggested wording for NJ Residential Foreclosure Transformation Act:
Governor Christie, I request that you veto the NJ Residential Foreclosure Transformation Act if it reaches your desk. By allowing the State to purchase foreclosed houses in any NJ town and deed restrict them to low income/special needs housing for 30 years, this Act will transform our neighborhoods, encroach on local decision making, increase homeowner taxes and reduce property values. Thank you.
